Since 6th January, application form was available on our website. You were free to apply till 25th January, when first round of applying got closed.
1st February 2010. - List of Accepted Participants
A list of accepted participants was published on this website. Students or seniors that were not accepted were put on the waiting list.
1st February - 10th March 2010. - First round of payments
Accepted participating students (or seniors) needed to pay participation fee on our bank account until 10th March. After transferring the money, student (or more of them registered with one university) or senior also needed to send us the transfer bill to our e-mail address; otherwise they weren't accepted.
Admission fee is non-refundable (if you pay, but don't come to Zagreb, you will not be refunded)!
10th March - 25th March 2010. - Second round of Payments
Accepted participants who didn't pay participation fee by 10th March were removed from the list, and participants who were on the waiting list were put on the list of accepted participants. Deadline for making the payment in second round of payments was until 25th March, and participation fee for students was raised to 150 €.
Universities that are members of IGSO (can to apply up to 4 students)
Universities that are not members of IGSO, will first need to register on IGSO’s website (can apply up to 2 students)
Students from following studies were being accepted: geodesy, geomatics, geoinformatics, photogrammetry, remote sensing and related programs
Each university needed to pay a 10 € annual fee for IGSO membership. It needed to be paid at the same time as the IGSM fee.
The fee for students (undergraduate and graduate students) was 100 €.
The fee for seniors (postgraduate students, PhD students...) was 150 €.
A required admission fee includes cost of accommodation, meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), trips (buses and event tickets), workshops, lectures, tickets for parties... Admission fee is non-refundable (if you pay, but don't come to Zagreb, you will not be refunded)!
You should take into consideration that insurance is not covered by the admission fee. If you wish to get insured yourselves, please do so before your trip to Croatia!
Please note that an additional trip to Zadar is organized after IGSM 2010. If you decide to go, you will also need to cover expenses for that trip, which are additional 100 € per person, and need to be paid at the same time as the IGSM admission fee. If there are less than 40 people interested for the trip to Zadar, it will be cancelled, and the fee will be given back to you once you arrive in Zagreb.
Also, a note regarding passports - even if your country is a member of European Union, you will still need to get your passport in order to enter Croatia (because Croatia is not yet a member)! If, however, your country is not a member of European Union, then you might even have to get a Visa.
